Not cleansing your lashes will cause makeup, dead skin, & bacteria build up. Failure to follow proper cleansing instructions provided by your lash tech, can lead to eye infection such as blephairits or lash mites. YES! Microblading is a form of manual tattooing (i.e. using a hand tool instead of a traditional machine). Just like traditional tattooing, microblading places pigment into the dermal layer of the skin, which holds the pigment there permanently. Permanent cosmetics, micropigmentation, dermal implantation, microblading/microstroking, eyebrow embroidery, and long-time/long-lasting makeup, are all different names for the same procedure: cosmetic tattooing. Any time color is placed into the skin with any device, it is a tattooing process as defined by many well-informed regulators, the medical community, and dictionary sources.

All tattoos fade with sun exposure, and the eyebrows, being in a position where sun exposure is a daily occurrence will endure some fading with time. Results depend on how well you take care of them. Other factors include skin pigment, texture and oiliness. No guarantee can be made regarding benefits from the procedure.
  • Is a blade used for the procedure?
NO! Microblading does not actually use a blade to perform the procedure; instead, a grouping of needles is used to create the fine hairstroke lines of the brows. *ALL needles and hand tools are ONE TIME USE ONLY!! *
  • How is the Microblading process?
The process of microblading can take 3 plus hours for the initial appointment. Come early and be prepared to fill out paperwork. Medical grade numbing cream will first be applied to your brows. Your lash tech will sit and talk with you about after care, answer any questions you have, and discuss your desires for shape and color. Once the shape is determined your artist will mix a custom color for you after having agreed on the shade, start adding the hair-strokes to the brow area, and follow their pattern. Once the strokes are in place a pigment mask is often used to help darken the pigmentation. This is then cleaned up and the artist will see if any changes or additions need to be made. Once you’re finished, you’ll have some amazing looking brows and should follow aftercare as directed!

If they scab, the scabs will fall off and may look a bit awkward, or patchy and light. The full healing time is 6 weeks after the first treatment. Remember to follow the Ultra Bellus Microbalding aftercare instructions!
